The Victoria Generals have added two freshmen players from Texas A&M to their roster.
Outfielder J.B. Moss and infielder Drew Featherston will join the Generals for the upcoming Texas Collegiate League season.
Moss, who played at Tyler Brook Hill Academy, has played in eight games for the Aggies this season.
He has two hits in his 10 at bats and has scored three runs.
"J.B. is a talented athlete with great speed," said Generals general manager Blake Koch in a news release. "He's the kind of player that can really be a spark plug on offense for us."
Featherston will most likely redshirt this season at Texas A&M.
He was a three-time all-district player at Katy Taylor.
Featherston's older brother, Taylor, played at TCU and is now in the Colorado Rockies organization.
"Drew is a very advanced hitter for his age," Koch said. "He has a great left-handed swing and uses the whole field."
The Generals open the season June 1 at the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
The team's home opener will be June 4 against the Texas Marshals.
