When it comes to looking toward a higher power, things can get confusing. Still, it helps to have someone there to guide the way.

And that's exactly what Pastor Jim Graff strives to do for the Crossroads.

Graff was voted the Crossroads' best spiritual leader in the Advocate's 2013 Best of the Best contest. This is his fourth consecutive win in the category.

The Pennsylvania native became a pastor 23 years ago and said that while he was not raised in a Bible-teaching church, he thinks people appreciate that method of getting God's word out.

"I think my greatest joy is helping people learn how to experience God's forgiveness," he said. "I think that's what our hearts are created to long for."

Graff said he was humbled and honored by the recognition but said there are many others in the Crossroads who do good work, too.

"We are just grateful to be part of such a great area with so many great pastors, churches and Christians," he said.
