Whether it's a new addition to the family, a couple tying the knot, a kiddo nearing graduation or other major life event, there are some milestones that beg to be caught on camera. And the staff at L-Ann Imaging aims to do so in style.

L-Ann Imaging was named the Crossroads' best professional photographer in the Advocate's 2013 Best of the Best contest. This is the company's third consecutive win in the category.

Laura Pollard started the business in 2000, while husband and co-owner Randy Pollard joined on full-time in 2004.

Randy Pollard said he thought it was the company's unique style that helped it stand apart from others in the category.

"When people come in, we do more than just create a portrait," he said. "We give them an experience, especially with children and the high school seniors."

He said he appreciates the support from those who took time to vote.

"It's a great feeling to know our customers think that much of us, because we absolutely love them," he said. "It's nice to know they're sharing the love back."
