Chick-fil-A is not like every fast food restaurant in the Crossroads.

Instead, it's been dubbed the newest winner of the best kid friendly restaurant category in the Crossroads, as voted by readers of the Victoria Advocate.

Owner and operator David Murphy said the restaurant offers its guests a menu full of options for growing kids.

"We provide healthy alternatives and healthy kids' meals," he said. "There is fresh fruit, apple sauce and now we have the grilled chicken nuggets to offer them, too."

And unlike other fast food restaurants, Chick-fil-A offers a different variety of toys to go with their kids' meals. Chick-fil-A believes in growing kids inside and out, Murphy said, so the toys in the kids meals are more interactive.

"There have been books, games for traveling in the summer and gardening tools with instructions on how to use them in the garden," he said of the toys.

The Navarro location also offers a family night twice a week, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, with different themes.
