Victoria radio station switches frequencies

Music lovers used to grooving to KVIC 95.1 found themselves turning the dial this week.
The radio station Wednesday switched to frequency 104.7, said Cindy Cox, general manager with Victoria RadioWorks.
The company worked for a while to get the new, stronger signal, she said, explaining it allows the station to reach a wider audience.
Although Victoria RadioWorks is still testing signal strength, she said it should extend about 60 miles out.
Cox said listeners have been supportive through the transition.
"It's been phenomenal," she said. "We're really excited."
