La Hacienda Mexican Cafe to open third Victoria restaurant

As Victoria and its population continue to grow, one local restaurant chain is following suit.
La Hacienda Mexican Cafe plans to open its third location early this week at 3801 N. Navarro St., said Trini Campos, who manages the restaurants.
Training is underway at the existing eateries - 7702 N. Navarro St. and 3402 Houston Highway - and management hopes to open for business either Tuesday or Wednesday, he said.
Owner Benny Sanchez had planned for a while to expand, Campos said, but now the time and location are right.
"Victoria has gotten bigger," he said. "We're getting more and more people. And there's a lot of business in that part of town."
La Hacienda No. 3 will offer the same Mexican food fare as the other two locations, Campos said but will also cater to Victoria's early birds.
The restaurant will dish up Mexican and American breakfast items, he said, noting the eatery will open at 6 a.m.
Campos said he was unsure how many people the restaurant will employ - much of that depends on business - but said La Hacienda is still hiring for its up-and-coming location. For more information, call or visit one of the two existing restaurants.
Campos said his regular customers - and the public in general - seem excited about the change.
"Already, they're asking, 'When? When do you open?'" he said. "It's good."
