Editor, the Advocate:
During the upcoming City Council elections, we as citizens have an opportunity to put someone in office who has shown his commitment to our community through his actions, not just his words. Vic Caldwell chose Victoria as a place to raise his family and start a business. He has always believed that we have something special here. As a businessman, he has created jobs and helped grow successful businesses in Victoria. As a member of the community, he has given of his time and effort to help youth organizations by serving on boards, coaching, as a mentor and classroom instructor. As a citizen, he has served whenever asked. He spent three years on the County Appraisal board, seven years on the Parks Commission. When asked, he served on the 2011 Redistricting Committee and serves on the H.O.T. Fund committee.
This is an important time for our city. We need leaders with experience, commitment and integrity. We need people like Vic Caldwell on City Council representing District 3. Put a man in office who has proven his commitment to our city. Vote for Vic Caldwell for City Council.
