A&M-Kingsville advances at regional tournament

KINGSVILLE - Texas A&M-Kingsville won twice Saturday to move into the championship game of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional baseball tournament at Nolan Ryan Field.

The Javelinas defeated Colorado-Mesa 3-0 before knocking off previously unbeaten St. Edward's 6-2.

Matt Rhodes pitched a complete game and allowed just two runs (one earned) in the St. Edward's game. Zach Pettiford pitched a complete game against Colorado Mesa.

St. Edward's and St. Mary's will play Sunday at 1 p.m. with the winner moving to the 4:30 p.m. championship game against A&M-Kingsville.
