Landon Zamykal of Schorlemmer Elementary in Victoria was named District 3 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.
The peer-based award recognizes assistant principals for their commitment to student learning as evidenced by exceptional school leadership.
"These administrators are committed to ensuring their students and teachers succeed," said Sandi Borden, TEPSA executive director.
TEPSA, whose hallmark is educational leaders learning with and from each other, has served Texas pre-K to eighth-grade school leaders since 1917.
A member-owned and member-governed organization, TEPSA has more than 5,800 members who direct the activities of more than 2.5 million pre-K to eighth-grade students.
