Flood warning for San Antonio River in Goliad

A flood warning continues for the San Antonio River at Goliad from late Tuesday night to Friday afternoon or until the warning is cancelled.

At 8 p.m. Monday the stage was 12.1 feet. Flood stage is 25.0 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

The river could rise above flood stage by Wednesday morning and continue to rise to near 28.6 feet by early Thursday morning.

The river is expected to fall below flood stage by Thursday before midnight.

Tuesday's weather forecast calls for mostly sunny, with a high near 87. South southeast wind 13 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Partly cloudy Tuesday night with a low around 76. Southeast wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
