Voters in the Ezzell school district go to the polls Tuesday to consider issuing up to a $4,129,000 bond for renovations and expansion on the kindergarten through eighth-grade campus.

"We are in need of more classroom space, and our existing buildings need updating and renovating," said Superintendent Johnnie Thornton.

The ballot language includes purchase of property for any expansion construction as well as purchase of school buses for the district.

If approved, the bond would increase the tax bill on a $100,000 home in the Ezzell school district by $290 a year.

Voting locations include the Lavaca County courthouse, Vienna Baptist Church, Hope Community Hall and the Ezzell School.
