Selena was as one of Tejano music's greats

Editor, the Advocate:

Selena Quintanilla was an excellent performer of Tejano music and had a beautiful voice that would have carried her well into the future. But, sadly, she was cut down in the prime of life by her tragic death.

My only problem with Selena was her manner of dress at times as being very provocative, suggesting a modeling after Madonna.

Selena should always be held up as one of the greats of Tejano music but never for her modesty of costume or dress. She certainly was no example for the teenagers who adored her. May she continue to rest in peace.
