Rapture hitting the stage once again at Golden Gecko

Be prepared for the Rapture. Do not worry - not in the Biblical sense, but in the musical sense.
The Houston-based Top 40 variety band will be at the Golden Gecko at 9 p.m. Saturday, providing its take on the best of Latin, '70s, '80s, pop and today's hits, said Dennis Lange, the band's manager.
"We always get a good crowd," Lange said about the band's fourth appearance at the bar and lounge at 202 E. Forrest St.
The band includes Constance Washington, vocals; Henry Ban Revi, keyboard; Justin Roelant, guitar, and Josh Compean, drums.
The four-piece band is "top notch," Lange said, adding that the members have each traveled the world with their talent.
Today, the band performs at some of Houston's largest events, such as playing at Houston Rockets' and Texans' games and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, he said.
Cover at the door is $7.
"I always tell people who have never been to come relive the '70s with a power-packed disco set," he said. "Come and enjoy Rapture's musical journey."
