Rockport woman arrested in connection with Victoria spa raid

A woman wanted in connection with a suspected prostitution and international human trafficking ring was arrested Thursday.

Sixiu Liu, 39, of Rockport, was picked up on a warrant charging her with engaging in criminal activity. She has been turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.

Liu is one of three women suspected of living and working as a prostitute inside a North Navarro Street foot spa, according to court documents.

Foot Spa, 2806 N. Navarro St., and three other locations in Rockport and Houston were simultaneously served search warrants Oct. 29, after a 14-month investigation into alleged criminal activity.

Rongyu Li, 44, and Su-fang Liu, 48, were detained and arrested during the raid on suspicion of engaging in organized criminal activity.

Business owner Shaoyun Qu, 40, of Houston, was arrested at a Rockport spa and charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution.
