Has the University of Houston-Victoria released its annual report? If so, how can I view it?
Area residents can now read and watch videos about the memorable moments the University of Houston-Victoria experienced in the 2012-13 fiscal year.
Those memories are captured in a yearbook-style annual report titled "An Anniversary of Excellence." The report can be accessed at UHVAnnualReport.com.
The annual report was unveiled during the Nov. 12 President's Annual Report and Excellence Awards event. A photo gallery and additional videos from the event are now up on the website.
"UHV's 40th anniversary has been a great year, as you'll see when you browse this annual report website," UHV President Phil Castille wrote in a letter. "Our online annual report makes information about UHV available to a wider audience beyond our campus community and allows us to feature videos and highlights from the Annual Report and Excellence Awards event."
The annual report website includes: • Student and alumni accomplishments
• Faculty and staff achievements
• Enrollment and financial figures
• A list of UHV donors
• Athletic and student life highlights
• Community events and partnerships
Each of the UHV's four academic schools has a page about recent accomplishments. The pages are complemented by a video featuring students, faculty and alumni expressing what a UHV education means to them.
In another video, student leaders provide insight into UHV's growing student life activities while student athletes discuss triumphs on the field, diamond and golf course. The video concludes with an interview of a special guest.
Of course, the heart of any yearbook is the photographs, and this year's annual report is packed full of hundreds of pictures from the past 40 years at UHV. There are plenty of vintage shots from early years and memorable images from more recently.
Videos of speeches and awards given during the annual report dinner feature local residents. Heber Lacerda, president and CEO of Regency Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers, received the Community Partnership Award, and Victoria Mayor Paul Polasek was named UHV Alumni of the Year.
In an effort to be environmentally friendly and add multimedia elements to the annual report, there are no paper versions. The entire report can be viewed online. For those who prefer to print out and read the annual report, a PDF version is available on the website.
