Having trouble trying to figure out what you're getting someone for Christmas this year?
Don't worry, we all have that kind of trouble. Sometimes, you just can't find that perfect way to describe someone you love.
Been there; done that - every year.
So often, many of us scour the stores - battling the crowds and spending more money than we intend to - so why not shop local?
That's what Victoria Art League's past president Bill Bauer wants people to be thinking when they are shopping around this holiday season.
The group is hosting its Christmas Bazaar beginning Friday until Dec. 21. It is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at the league's building, 905 S. Bridge St.
The bazaar will have all types of original artwork from paintings to pottery and other crafts.
Prices range anywhere from $2 for ornaments to hundreds of dollars for bigger items.
"Just come to experience the place," Bauer said. "You can come and shop for some unique Christmas gifts for the family and friends."
So many times there are unsatisfied feelings from store-bought gifts.
Homemade gifts, created by others or yourself, can add a nice, personal touch.
And don't worry; there are plenty of original crafts to go around.
"There are quite a lot of things to look at," Bauer said.
