VC sets information night for future students

Victoria College will showcase its areas of study for prospective students and their parents during Information Night on Tuesday.
The event will be from 5-8 p.m. in the Victoria College Health Sciences Center, 2200 E. Red River St.
The commons area will feature Victoria College's areas of study through booths and hands-on displays, with faculty and staff on hand to offer information and answer questions. These areas include business and technology, health careers, industrial trades, liberal arts and sciences and public service. Guests can also meet VC's mascot, Captain Vic, learn about campus life and tour the campus.
Admissions and advising assistance will be offered in the center's Room 123 as will come-and-go financial aid assistance in the same room.
Students who plan to enroll in the spring should bring their 2012 tax returns. A financial aid representative will help them with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and answer questions about the financial aid process.
Students will also need their Social Security number and Alien Registration Card (if applicable) or other documentation of income.
Additionally, there will be special information sessions for programs that have selective admissions or additional admissions requirements.
Scheduled information sessions include:• Health Professions at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in Room 130. Students can learn about admissions to VC's Medical Laboratory Technology, Respiratory Care, Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy and Medical Assisting programs.
• Physical Therapist Assistant at 6 p.m. in Room 130
• Associate Degree Nursing Program at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Room 131.
• Vocational Nursing Program at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Room 132.
Door prizes and dinner will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
