...."Freely ye have received, freely give."

- Matthew 10:8

This is the strangest week I can remember in my life. The United States of America quit. I cannot believe that the United States of America shut down.

Some of my friends, George and Angie, came over to see me this week and put my faith back where it belonged when they showed me pictures of three beautiful, legal redfish that their daughters caught with only God watching even if the government wasn't.

I think God shows extra pride and joy in His people when they search and follow for His will even though they can't see Him. You can tell those ladies were really fisherwomen. They had told their mom to share with me how they had caught these beautiful redfish _ on cracked crab, fishing on the bottom while using No. 2 straight shank hooks. When I saw the pictures, I could actually smell their freshness and this put the "fight" back into me to go back to the beach even though my neck is still fractured.

The girls wanted Mom and Dad's approval that they would fish correctly even if the shut-down government couldn't fine them or arrest them. That shows a true belief in law, love and life.

Dear Lord, thank You for knowing what we need even before we do. Thank You for being there whenever I get back to the beach or to Your heaven.
