Thumbs-up to all employees of the United States Postal Service for their dedication in getting the mail to all of us customers who rely on this great and much-needed service.

Ray, Victoria

Thumbs-down to the very inconsiderate individual who struck my car while it was parked at the Citizens Professional Building's rear parking lot between 3 and 4:15 p.m. Monday. You've caused a considerable amount of damage to my new car, along with the hassle of having to take care of this matter, let alone you fleeing the scene without having the decency to leave your name, address or phone number. Shame on you.

Katy, Canyon Lake

Thumbs-up to the anti-bullying workshop "The Twists and Turns of Getting Along." We are glad to see students being educated and given a way to deal with bullying.

Thumbs-up to the Victoria Regional Airport Commission for requesting a market study by management consulting firm Seabury Airline Planning to identify better ways to serve Victoria's needs. We hope the study offers valuable information about Victoria's travel market.

Thumbs-up to the Victoria Boulevard Lions Club for holding the annual Family Fishing Day at Ethel Lee Tracy Park on Saturday morning.

Thumbs-up to the German students from Konrad-Adenauer-Gymnasium who are visiting the Crossroads and learning about Texas. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Thumbs-up to the opening of the Calhoun County Fair on Tuesday and all the other county fairs opening this season.

Thumbs-up to Dorothy O'Connor Pet Adoption Center worker Brianna Mirelez and everyone else who helps rescue animals. Thank you for your dedication to taking care of defenseless animals.

Thumbs-up and good luck to the organizers of the fifth annual Buddy Walk. We hope you reach your fundraising goal.

Thumbs-down to the approaching demolition of the historic McCabe Building. We are sad to see another piece of Victoria's history vanish after years of neglect and decay.
