The National Weather Service has issued flash flood warnings for several Crossroads counties from 5 p.m. Tuesday through 7 a.m. Wednesday.
Those counties include DeWitt, Gonzales, Karnes and Lavaca.
Widespread rainfall of 1 to 2 inches are expected with localized higher amounts of 3 to 5 inches possible, according to the NWS.
Flash flooding of low water crossings and other low-lying and normally flood prone areas is likely due to heavy rain.
Streams and rivers may also see rapid rises.
