Three people were taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro after the collision of two pickups on U.S. Highway 87 two miles north of Victoria about 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Clark Adbu, 26, of Forest, Miss., was traveling north in a 2007 Dodge when he attempted a left turn into B&D's General Store and Cafe, 9765 U.S. Highway 87 N., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety report. A 2007 Ford, headed south, driven by Jo Ann Henry, 65, of Yorktown, struck the Dodge as it turned to cross the southbound lane.
Abdu, Henry and Rosa Horton, 54, of Yorktown, a passenger in the Ford, were taken by Victoria Fire Department Emergency Medical Services to the hospital.
Abdu was listed in stable condition as of Tuesday afternoon, and Henry and Horton were treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Abdu was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way, said DPS spokesman Trooper Gerald Bryant. Trooper Mario Gonzalez investigated the crash.
