"Therefore, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me."
- Micah 7:7
I have a good friend, Angie, who has a daughter named Laurie that is as crazy about fishing as I am. Since I recently broke my neck, it is impossible for me to fish now. So Angie shared her daughter's fishing story with me.
As I plopped myself down waiting to be bored, the strangest thing happened to me. As she told me the story, I noticed my muscles would twitch, my heart would start racing, and I would feel my fists tightening. I pictured myself fishing so totally that I was even getting out of breath.
It is a little scary to me when I realized that I could let my thinking control my entire body without even trying to. I realized what a powerful effect our thoughts could have on us.
We could live with thoughts that were godly and reach toward Him, or we could sit with our stinking thinking and only pile up more stinking thinking.
Dear Lord, help us to think the utmost toward Your Highest because if we don't, we will find how easy a lower life can become.
