Early voting in person for the Nov. 5 constitutional amendment election will begin Monday at the Dr. Pattie Dodson Public Health Center, Classroom A, 2805 N. Navarro St.
Voting will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 1. Additional hours will be offered from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Nov. 1.
The constitutional amendment election has nine propositions for voter consideration to amend the Texas Constitution. All propositions need the attention of Texas voters, according to a news release from the Victoria County election administrator's office.
This is the first election in Victoria County in which photo ID will be required. Every voter in person will be required to present an acceptable form of photo identification to vote. These include one of the following: Texas driver's license, Texas personal identification card, Texas concealed handgun permit, Texas election identification certificate, U.S. military identification cards, a U.S. passport or U. S. citizenship certificate.
All identifications must contain a photograph of the person. All, except the citizenship certificate, must be current or not expired more than 60 days before the election.
