Indicted

Editor's Note: An indictment is not an indication of guilt. It is a finding by a grand jury that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.

VICTORIA - A grand jury returned indictments on the following people Oct. 17:

Jacob Frank Guzman, 30, of Victoria, on a charge of criminal mischief between $1,500 and $20,000. He is charged with damaging a door, door frame and large plant vase at a business in the 6500 block of Nursery Drive on July 25. The damage was valued between $1,500 and $20,000.

Joshua Gabriel Garcia, 27, of Victoria, on a charge of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit another felony. He is charged with entering a man's home and assaulting him Aug. 15.

Desmond Jerrell Wayne Rucker, 26, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine, July 24.

Jesus Alberto Vasquez, 21, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine, Aug. 23.

Luis Vasquez Jr., 22, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine, Aug. 23.

Mary Isabel Noriega, 41, of Victoria, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine, June 24.

Raphael Danuiel Porter, 35, of Shiner, on a charge of manufacturing and delivering a controlled substance less than 1 gram, cocaine, July 21.

Pete Canales IV, 43, of Victoria, on a charge of theft of property between $1,500 and $20,000. He is charged with stealing between $1,500 and $20,000 from a credit union Feb. 24, 2012.
