Thank you for another birthday barbecue picnic

Charlie Faupel, of Reeves Ranch in Raisin, hosted his free barbecue birthday picnic.
He personally oversees cooking the brisket and chickens, served with all the trimmings on a long table and the blessing. We filled our plates to overflowing.
An old-fashioned band plucked out those great tunes, making us all tap our feet and clap our hands. Jessie, the cowboy, gave horse rides. My pal Rosa and I told him, "No, Jessie, you are not getting us senior citizens on that critter!" In a blink of an eye, he had hoisted us up, trotting us around while we laughed the entire time. He succeeded in plantin' a goodbye kiss on the cheeks of us both. We giggled all the way back to town. Thanks again, Charlie. Hope to see you again next year. It was the happiest of birthdays! We two gals had the time of our lives!
