An Inez woman injured in a two-car wreck on U.S. Highway 59 north on Friday was listed in stable condition Saturday.

Ashley Dotson, reportedly in her early 30s, was transported to Citizens Medical Center after crashing her gold Nissan Quest into the back of a tractor-trailer, said patrol officer Justin Surber with the Victoria Police Department.

The trailer had slowed down to pass another wreck about a quarter of a mile north on the highway, Surber said.

Dotson was pinned in her vehicle, and emergency service workers had to use a hydraulic rescue tool referred to as the "jaws of life" to rescue her.
