The Museum of the Coastal Bend, located on Victoria College's Main Campus, is offering the look-think-do activity book "Inside the Museum of the Coastal Bend" to fourth-graders in school groups who tour the museum during the 2013-14 school year.

Production of the book was funded by a grant from The Junior League of Victoria and will be distributed free of charge.

The book was written and illustrated by Jill Englebright Fox to reinforce knowledge gained during the students' museum visit in correlation with curriculum standards.

The activity book's content, both text and drawings, are designed to be friendly and helpful to a wide audience. Children are encouraged to complete the activities in partnership with an adult including grandparents, foster parents, guardians and older siblings to foster familial relationships.

A limited number of books are also available for purchase in the museum's store for $3 each.

For more information on the books, contact Sue Prudhomme at 361-582-2436 or email
