Two men died in Yorktown Monday following a two-vehicle wreck on state Highway 119 North and West 10th Street.

Yorktown Police Department Officer Vincent Flores said the vehicles, both of which were white Ford F-150s, collided at the intersection at about 3:45 p.m.

The driver and passenger in one of the trucks died at the scene. The lone driver of the second truck was transported by helicopter to a Victoria hospital, Flores said.

Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Bill Robinson pronounced the two adult men dead at the scene.

The names of those involved in the wreck were not released because the next of kin had not been contacted, the officer said.

Flores said the wreck remained under investigation and could not release any information about how the two trucks collided.
