Cuero graduate sparks A&M-Kingsville win

ARLINGTON - Robert Armstrong scored on an 11-yard run in triple overtime to lift Texas A&M-Kingsville to a 40-37 exhibition victory over Tec de Monterrey on Saturday at the Lone Star Football Festival at AT&T Stadium.

Armstrong, a Cuero graduate, found the end zone four times - also hauling in three TD passes - to lead the Javelinas (2-0) in the first overtime game in the festival's three-year history. He finished with 177 receiving yards on 18 catches and also totaled 17 yards on the ground.
