The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for South Texas, including much of the Crossroads, beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday.
Abundant tropical moisture from the Gulf and mid-level remnants from Pacific Tropical Storm Manuel will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday.
An approaching frontal boundary is then expected to stall north of South Texas by Friday evening becoming the focus for scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon through Saturday.
Rainfall amounts of two to four inches are expected.
With saturated soils from recent rain events, this additional rainfall may lead to flash flooding, according to the NWS.
