A flood watch issued by the National Weather Service is expected to lapse Saturday as the rain ends and the skies clear.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-90s throughout the week.
Guadalupe River water levels rose to about 4.62 feet Friday after the city received 1.32 inches of rain, bringing the total to 1.45 inches this week, said a spokesman with the weather services in Corpus Christi.
Flooding stage is 21 feet.
Humidity in Victoria is expected to decrease next week, the weatherman said, because of a dry northwest front that is passing through Texas.
Monday will bring plenty of sunshine with highs peaking around 90 degrees.
