Thumbs-up to Paul and Mary Meredith, master naturalists, and their column on bird watching. We're now registered on e-bird.com as birdwatchers for our county, and the kids are learning to identify and appreciate many types of birds. Thanks for the great information.

Thumbs-up to Pat and Margie Hull for being such animal lovers. God bless you.
Thumbs-down to a lot of the high schoolers I see kissing each other in the campus parking lot when me and my 9-year-old go to pick her big sister up from East High School.
Thumbs-down to neighbors who sneak around in the early dark morning hours to walk and allow their dogs to urinate and defecate on other residents' lawns and cause damage. The Victoria Municipal code "Care and Control of Animals," Article IV, Sec 4-48, and 4-50 clearly outline the city ordinance on "animal waste" and "irresponsible owner." There is a difference in walking or jogging to exercise the pet from simply not being honest or caring. Neighbors need to take proactive action on stopping this abuse.
Thumbs-down to the cold-hearted people who are killing and stealing the barbado sheep from Wayne and Karen Daggs' property outside of Port Lavaca. Hopefully, they will be caught!
Thumbs-down to H-E-B for putting an ad in Spanish in the Victoria Advocate recently. I only know how to read English. What has happened to American English?
