VISD officials to discuss HB5 at April chamber luncheon

Come learn how House Bill 5 will affect the Victoria school district.

The Victoria Chamber of Commerce April Luncheon will feature representatives of the Victoria school district who will speak about HB5, which was passed during the 83rd legislative session.

Speakers will include Lauri Voss, coordinator, career and technical education; Sherri Hathaway, associate director of secondary curriculum, instruction and accountability; and Kim Motley, district counseling coordinator. Their presentation is titled "HB5 endorsement and dual-credit opportunities at VISD."

The luncheon will be in the UHV Multi-Purpose Room, 3007 N. Ben Wilson St.

Registration is $17 for members, $20 for nonmembers and $25 after Friday.
