Orlando Quiroga pitched into the ninth inning to lead UHV to a 3-0 win over Wiley College on Wednesday at Riverside Stadium and then scored three runs in the sixth and eighth innings of Thursday's 8-2 win.

Kyle Bludau drove in the first run of the sixth inning Thursday and then the Jaguars (19-23) loaded the bases, which forced a Wiley pitching change. Reliever Zach Long hit the first batter he faced to force one run to score and then walked another to give UHV a 4-2 lead.

In the eighth inning, Stephen Shorkey drove in Brian Harvey on a single to start the inning. The Jaguars scored two more runs on RBI hits by Brandon Bohanon and Ryan Suescun.

On Wednesday, Quiroga limited the Wildcats (15-31) to three hits. He struck out eight and didn't walk a batter.

Andre Del Bosque replaced Quiroga with one out and a runner on first base in the ninth. He needed four pitches to induce a double play grounder and earn his 10th save of the season.

The Jaguars had only five hits, but scored in the third, sixth and eighth innings.

Joshua Boothe singled and scored on a Dylan Blaha sacrifice fly in the third.

Blaha tripled and scored on a single by Robert Zaragoza in the fifth.

Ryan Suescun reached on an error in the eighth and scored on a sacrifice fly by Zaragoza.

The teams conclude the series Thursday at 2 p.m. at Riverside Stadium.
