Thumbs-up to Cinemark Theater for showing the Metropolitan Opera HD transmission series and to Linda Gonik regarding this excellent opportunity (referencing her letter to the editor April 11).
Thumbs-up to the Victoria City Council for common sense and not blanket approval of the proposed visitors center.
Thumbs-down to Victoria's leaf-strewn streets and lack of adequate street sweeper equipment and personnel to operate.
Thumbs-down to the hodgepodge arrangement of the sections in the Victoria Advocate and the "unhandy" Get Out section.
