Celebrate Earth Day at the Texas Zoo

Victoria Environmental Services, the Texas Zoo and Keep Victoria Beautiful are teaming up to host environmental educational programs at the zoo Saturday for Earth Day.

Activities will kick off at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m., Environmental Services program director Kate Garcia said.

The activities include interactive exhibits on air and water quality, presentations on endangered animals and nature walks. Dora the Explorer will make an appearance at the event, she said.

Entrance is $2 for non-zoo passholders and free for passholders.
