An 18-year-old student at the University of Houston-Victoria was arrested on suspicion of arson early Tuesday morning.

Christopher Benedict Danysh is being held at the Victoria County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond, according to a criminal complaint.

University Vice President Wayne Beran said a bulletin board outside of Jaguar Hall, 2705 Houston Highway, was set on fire. It did not cause any damage to the structure but destroyed the board.

The student will face a conduct review with the university following his criminal charges, Beran said.
