Laureate Alpha Omicron holds meeting

Laureate Alpha Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met recently in the home of Louise Pletcher. Dorothy Koenig served as co-hostess. The meeting was conducted by Vice President Marcy Turk.

Susana Moya presented the program, Light in Our Lives. She asked members to recall a happy and a sad event in their lives that totally changed their future. Susana related stories of two friends and how they coped with life-changing events.

Moya displayed several recommended books: "To Heaven and Back," "90 Minutes in Heaven," "Heaven is for Real" and "Heaven is Real." The book "The Shack" deals with forgiveness.

Committee reports were given. Members were asked to sign up for Founder's Day, which will be at 6:30 p.m. April 30 at Sky Restaurant. Both Xi Psi Tau and Laureate Alpha Omicron will attend the observance.

Dessert will be provided by Vickie Kowalik, Carolyn Prichard and Dorothy Koenig. The Woman of the Year will be announced.

The next meeting will be May 6 at the home of Joann Locher. New officers will be installed.
