Motivational speaker to present program at Shiner Heritage Quilters meeting

Victoria West, well-known quilter and motivational speaker, will present the program at the May 6 meeting of the Shiner Heritage Quilters.

West teaches imaginative ways of quilting and encourages ingenious uses of color combinations and stitching designs to create beautiful work, according to a news release from the Shiner Heritage Quilters.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes activities such as show-and-tell, star block-of-the-month, door prizes and light refreshments in addition to West's presentation.

The group meets at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 102 W. Church St., which is one block off U.S. Highway 90A in Shiner.
