UHV to play in AII conference tournament

The Jaguars will play in the annual AII Conference Golf Championships at Gold Mountain Golf Club on Sunday and Monday in Bremerton, Wash.

UHV's men's and women's golf teams will play for a chance to advance to the NAIA national golf championships.

The men's national tournament will be May 13-16 in Daytona Beach, Fla. The women's national tournament will be May 20-23 in Lincoln, Neb.

Before nationals, the Jaguars will have the chance to play in the 28th PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championships in Florida on May 8-11.

The event includes a business of golf careers expo as well as an opportunity for players to take the PGA Playing Ability Test to be eligible for the PGA Professional Golf Management Program, according to a release.

The UHV men will be in the NAIA division that includes Edward Waters College and Talladega College.

The women will compete in the division that includes Texas A&M International and Texas Southern.
