Azalea Garden Club met at the home of Linda Elmore on April 14 to tour her lovely yard and gardens.
Seventeen members enjoyed seeing the several varieties of plants and ground cover that have survived the cold winter and that seem to do well in the heat. Many members took the opportunity to give a lucky rub to the gigantic pig statue in the yard and to enjoy the lovely blooming iris and admire the raised vegetable garden beds and manicured paths and flower beds.
President Marsha Ricotilli called the business meeting to order, and several financial topics were discussed.
Barbara Skipper announced that all programs and hostesses have been assigned for the 2014-15 year.
Marcy Worsham and Francisca Watts provided the refreshments.
The next meeting will be May 12 at The Sendera Restaurant, and new officers will be installed.
