Registration set for Medication Aide for Nurse Aide course in Cuero

Registration and orientation for Victoria College's Medication Aide for Nurse Aide course will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday at the VC Vocational Nursing Program in Cuero. Classes will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 3 through Dec. 17 at the school, 2550 N. Esplanade St. in Cuero.
Enrollees must be employed as certified nurse aides on the state registry in active status and be employed in a facility as a certified nurse aide or licensed direct care staff person on the first day of class. All applicants must be a high school graduate or have passed the general equivalency diploma (GED) test.
The course will offer instruction in preparation and administration of designated medications by nonlicensed nursing personnel employed in licensed healthcare agencies.
This is a noncredit continuing education course that does not apply toward a credit degree, credit certification or academic transfer.
