Update that resume, and don't forget to spell check - it's time for the Business Career and Internship Fair.

Townsquare Media is sponsoring a career fair Tuesday at the Hilton Garden Inn.

"There are jobs out there, and we have the ability to bring the attention and venue so that employers and potential employees can get together," Jeff Lyon, Townsquare media vice president/general manager.

More than 20 employers will be present to talk with job seekers about available positions in different fields and industries, he said.

The fair will include area businesses such as Devereux Foundations, Mary Kay, Victoria Independent School District, Hallettsville Rehab and Nursing Center and more.

This is the third year for Townsquare Media to host the free business fair, and it is something the company works with the community to put together.

"We see a need for it," Lyon said.

Because there is always a need for qualified employees from one industry to the next, he said certifications and specializations are always good to bring to the table.

"Be prepared; have a resume," Lyon said. "Be ready to talk about yourself and ask the employers questions."
