A 29-year-old Victoria man fell asleep while driving about 7 a.m. Wednesday and crashed into the back of a Victoria school bus.

No injuries were reported.

Jaime McDougall Garcia was eastbound on Farm-to-Market Road 237 in a 1997 Volkswagen GTI, about a mile west of Farm-to-Market Road 236, where he crashed into the back of the school bus, lodging his car underneath, according to a Department of Public Safety crash report prepared by Trooper Brian Babcock.

Two children were on the bus at the time. Both were picked up at the scene by their parents. The children were being transported to Victoria West High School and Mission Valley Elementary, according to the report.

Garcia was cited for not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
