Three people were arrested late Thursday night after taking Victoria police officers on a 16-minute car chase.
The pursuit began at 11:23 p.m. in the 3200 block of South Laurent Street where a person who was known to have an outstanding warrant was seen riding in a black Chevrolet vehicle, said Lt. Mike Hernandez, a police department spokesman.
The vehicle fled when officers approached it and was disabled when stop sticks were deployed in the 100 block of North Ben Wilson Street, Hernandez said.
No injuries were reported.
The driver, Terri Deneice Wallace, 48, of Victoria, was arrested on suspicion of evading arrest with a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, less than 1 gram.
Javetta Ornence Lott, 29, of Victoria, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested on a felony warrant charging her with violation of probation in a possession of a controlled substance case and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, according to her booking report.
Robert James Brooks, 39, of Victoria, another occupant of the car, was arrested for a parole violation warrant and on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
All three were booked into the Victoria County Jail and remained detained Friday afternoon.
A $15,000 bond was set for Wallace, according to the arrest report, but Brooks and Lot were not assigned a bond for their parole and probation violations.
