A Victoria man was transferred to another hospital after he was injured in a wreck Saturday night.

Justin Delossantos, 24, of Victoria, was transferred from DeTar Hospital Navarro, where he was initially sent, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Delossantos was driving south on Navarro Street about 9:30 p.m. in a Chevrolet Tahoe.

He attempted to go around a truck hauling a trailer, driven by William Goeringer, 31, of Victoria, that was attempting to turn onto Convent Street.

The truck collided with the Tahoe, and both vehicles went into a utility pole, according to earlier reports.

Goeringer was taken to DeTar Hospital Navarro, too. He was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Delossantos was given citations for failure to maintain financial responsibility, having a prohibited open container and not having a driver's license, according to an accident report at the Victoria Police Department.
