The Citizens Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers recently awarded eight scholarships of $1,000 each to students participating in the Citizens Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology. Taking part in the presentation of the scholarships, front row, from left, are Colby DeDear, Marlynna Murillo and Jaclyn Seyfert; and back row, from left, are Stephen Cooper, program director for School of Radiologic Technology Citizens Medical Center; Glenda Gibbs, manager of volunteer services; Devin Wood; Chelsey Cinadr; Cindy De La Garza; Crystal Morales; Kandice Tucker; Dottie Mints, scholarship committee member; Peggy Brockenbush, scholarship chairwoman; and Stephen Thames, CEO. The students are standing in front of the live poinsettia tree provided by the volunteers for patients, visitors and staff to enjoy. The poinsettia tree contains more than 140 live plants. In addition, the volunteers also awarded four $1,000 scholarships to Victoria College nursing students. Recipients were Delma Flores, Crystal Peters, Deidra Martinez and Felicia Cisneros.
