The Victoria Chamber of Commerce was closed Thursday because of water issues.

A pipeline leak Tuesday night flooded the office, and ongoing work to fix the problem has the office closed until 8 a.m. Friday.

Workmen from the University of Houston-Victoria, from which the chamber leases the office, have completed the repairs and need an extra day to ensure all the water has been removed from the space, Randy Vivian, chamber president and CEO, said.

"They've got fans and dehumidifiers going in the office, but we should be all right and back in tomorrow," he said Thursday.
