First National Bank in Port Lavaca has a new branch.

The temporary Victoria location at 4401 N. Main St. opened Wednesday with lobby services. The bank will offer regular teller services, said Terry Cullen, bank president.

"We bought the property catty-corner of the temporary location and are finalizing plans now," he said.

Completion of the new bank building is expected by the end of the year. It will include four drive-thru lanes, a drive-up night deposit box and ATM, safe deposit boxes and full lending services.

John Stevenson, the Victoria branch manager, has more than 30 years of service in the Victoria market, Cullen said.

"Although the branch is new to Victoria, we are not," Cullen said. "We're expanding our footprint in the coastal bend area."

First National Bank in Port Lavaca has locations in Port Lavaca, Seadrift, Port O'Connor and is the largest bank in Calhoun County. A grand opening is scheduled in March.

The bank also offers financial services ranging from personal to business banking and lending services.

"They can get the kind of service that they should expect from us," Cullen said.
