The Main Street Program is looking for a new executive director.

The nonprofit group is searching for a leader who can continue to work with the community and businesses in downtown Victoria, Constance Filley Johnson, board of directors president, said Friday.

Executive Director Sara Rodriguez resigned but will stay on through March.

"Sara has been delightful to work with," Filley Johnson said. "She has an engaging personality, a tenacious work ethic and is passionate about revitalizing downtown Victoria."

Rodriguez filled the position when the first manager, Mike Sigg, left the nonprofit in 2012.

"I am just passing on the torch," Rodriguez said. "I have every intention of being involved in the program."

In the meantime, anyone interested in the executive director position can send a cover letter and resume to Filley Johnson at by Monday.

"We'd be fortunate to find someone else who shares those qualities," she said of Rodriguez.
